We had previously reviewed the Norton 360 Security Suite which is not just a Anti-Virus application but also offers you with multiple other features and benefits. Here are few of the features which come along with the package.
Norton 360 would install a toolbar on all your web browsers which would allow you to create new profiles on your computer using which you can save your secured ID and passwords for different websites. Next once you access any website you will get a report for the same which is based on the Norton filters and also user suggested reviews. You need to click on the ‘Norton Site Safety’ icon which will display a small report if the site is having previous history of ‘Computer Threats’ , ‘Identity Threats’ & ‘Annoyance Factors’.
To get started using this service you need to ‘Create a Profile’ which would allow you to save the username and passwords so that you can fill logins and web forms easily on the websites you regularly access. All the logins are encrypted and stored in Identity safe.
Once the account is created you will be able to access to the Indentity Safe directly from the Norton Toolbar on your browser. Click on the Notifications are and select the Manage Logins option to check out and manage the logins which were saved earlier.
You will have to Create a New Profile which would be saved either on your computers primary drive or a removal drive using which you can share the logins with multiple devices.
Once the profile is setup you will be able to store all your logins securely and enjoy a secured computing with the Norton Toolbar which would also display a small icon next to all the search results next to the website results and display quick information on the same. The below screenshot would give you a idea on the same and using these small icons you can find out if the listed website is safe to access or not.

I have to say I am not a fan of Norton 360, It tends to be very slow and bulky. Plus, I get many calls from people who get infected after installing it.
But the encrypted cards and logins is a nice feature for users with lots of logins. If you just need that feature, there is Roboform. And for virus scanning I am a long term advocate of Eset’s NOD32. But it can be expensive and a little difficult for a home user to configure. In that case, I’d probably tell them to install MS Security Essentials.
