Tata Indicom Broadband VSNL Sucks

I Personally have gone through very bad experience with Tata Indicom when i applied for this Broadband connection for my office and home.

Here is one Tata Indicom Broadband Review and in the comments you can find how bad their service is. I also have Airtel Wireless Connection for my lappy which i use while travelling but thats better than this Tata Indicom Broadband

    I Strongly disagree with you over your review on TATA Indicom. I have been using this service from past 6 years. It was called ETH that time then it got under Dishnet DSL then TATA bought VSNL and Dishnet DSL together .. I get marvelous speed without any breakage or disconnection. I am really very happy with it..dont know about Gujarat but here in Pune it rockz !

    I agree with u AMIT… the TATA INDICOM SUCKSSS!!!! i really felt like I m in HELL from their SPEED…. it is slow than the Dial-up & it is the WORSTTTTTT of the all & their customer service is more worser… The best i found was AIRTEL whose cust service is dedicated…. & they r the best as of now… from past 1 yr they r giving me full support & their speed is also fine…….

    I’m yet to experience the broadband part of VSNL, but their service sure sucks. I had applied for it on 23rd of May, but I have till date not received the connection. Nobody came to even ask me if i had applied online, I had to go to their office and drag them to my place for a feasibility study.
    when i will get the connection is yet to be seen. all together i think I have made at least 4 complaints to their customer service. But to no use. Will update as and when i get the service.

    Once again Ilike to apprise your companys official that your services are
    like dogscurved tail destined never to improve. This is again my one
    ofinnumerable complaints in past six months regarding poorest of
    poorerservices when customer doesnt know if his connection will work in
    nextmoment or not. Yesterday only on 10th JuneI registered a complaint
    onur customer centre about frequent disconnections but again
    afterconnection was ok for few hours again it went off from 11pm onwards.
    Ifail to understand why you people are not making permanent
    arrangementsfor it. This shows your highly callous attitude and your
    professionallethargy towards your customers. Also indicates your
    professionalincompetence in age of IT when internet is a necessity rather
    thanluxury.If you r not able to carry out your company in a dignified
    mannerkindly let me know so that I can change my connection.Till now
    nosatisfactory reply has been made by your any of officials nor were
    uable to do the needful.
    Kindly let me know once and for all if u peoplewill be able to provide me
    uninterrupted services or not .Else I will beforced to go to consumer court
    for pschotrauma and losses coz ofinterrupted services.

    Tata Indicom broad band is not that bad for individuals serfing at night. I observed that in day time speed is slow but at night time its OK. I am hyderabad, I am not aware of speed and service in other cities.

    Any more reviews on MTNL broad band in Mumbai? I want to read more reviews on MTNL broadband before going for it.

    I have taken Tata Indicom Wireless Internet connection with USB modem. The speed is pathetic and when complained the officails have no solution for this. This is simply non-sense. I would not at all recommend anyone for Tata indicom.

    I totally disagree with this. I have been using a dial up connection from year 2000 which got converted to a broadband connection last year. The speed is fantastic (1.53 MBPS) and the service is good here in Cochin. Personally I am very very satisfied.

    A sales team from TATA Indicom came to my house and explained the TATA internet USB connection. I said I am interested in the connection. They asked me to fill a form and said that they will come tomorrow with Internet USB and simcard and I must pay Rs 2850 for USB and Rs 100 for simcard.
    They never came to my house and I am getting bill every month since 5 months.
    It is really a surprise to me that when I never paid to get the connection, how they are sending bills.
    I went to TATA indicom customer care in Bangalore and said the story. They cancelled the connection and said that the matter is closed.
    But after a month again I got the bill. This shows clearly that People sitting in TATA indicom want to loot public by advertising, asking people to fill connection farms and even without people taking connection charge them and issue bills.
    We must take it strongly otherwise they will continue to do so.

    i bought a Tata indicom USB modem this week only . It must have been a really bad star position that i saw the ad, called up the guys and the sales rep came over so immediately ( which shold have indicated to me that they are desperate to sell..my fault not to notice) .. it got activated by evening and since then its been 100 calls to the cust service and dealer.. cos the speed is slower than what dial up internet was in 1999 … its sickening.. esp there is no way out.. have already paid 2950 to them for the usb and 150 per month going ahead..its not worth 5 paisa… the dialler software always shows 5 full rods for the network availability ( i guess they have inbuilt that 5 rod image in the software) .. but the speed is .. aaarghhh! God !! please make airtel buy out this pathetic tata service .. so that more brethren doent lose their hard earned money .. amen !

    Tata VSNL broad band has been getting worse over the years. i have been a customer since August 2000. Their billing is not taransparent and service apalling. I was over billed by 4000 rs 2 months ago and there is no one to sort out the problem. I have now switched to Airtel

    I totally agree with you. Tata Sucks and so do thier service. I had the worst experince after getting my conenction it just does not work and the icing on the cake is thier customer service who is alwasys ready to help you but is never able to do so…..

    Those who had better experience with Tata Indicom… You are the luckiest people in the world… Why dont you try your fortune else where… Im sure you wll never fail… Not joking…

    I had the worst service ever with this tata indicom broad band … Its been 10 months that my office is using their business plan… To get the connection was the first major task…. Then the service… the serivice is interepted when ever there is a power failure in this locality….

    You wont believe we have logged tons of complain to their Call center (a bunch of fools who always asks wether the LED glows ).. the local service engineer (A purely non technichal and pethetic local service engineer. we had to give him advice on what to be done for even smallest of his service)…A irresponsible Nodal officer (Never Picks his phone and if attended never minds if anything is been told to him as a complaint)…And alltogether a fit for nothing service people….

    The complain goes from my office 4-5 times in week and this started 8 months back…

    We are now to see them legally….. We now hate someone saying that they are good service providers… If anyone is there saying so… please do visit my office… you will change your thought..

    I personally have a bitter experience with Tata Indicom too. Specially the download speed is terrible. There is no competitor to BSNL as per my opinion

    Guys u people are very true Tata’s logo “Feel the difference” is also very true. Actully they wanted to test your tolerance power. Service’s are not only bad its just ridiculus. I bought one tata wireless(USB) connection. bad speed apart they don’t have any expanation for the over bill they are sending every month. I shifted pack from 2 GB free data to 5(300 minutes) hour just to test their system still I got 518 minutes bill where as actual usage is 252 minutes ( Company’s own modem is showing this usage). Can you believe it. Plz,Plz,Plz never buy tata USB connection if you want to do your work without tension.

    I can hear the same growling all over the net… Was just going through lot of blogs with ref to the matters related to the TATA indicom broadband consumers suffering and wanted to create a unified voice for all of us.

    i’ve been using tata indicom wifi service US modem since 4 months im very much happy with the speed n i get uninterrupted service even when im out of bombay though i travel a lot for work i never came across any hassels or trouble with the connectivity n i get good speed anywhere i go

    Tata VSNL Broadband is pathetic!!! No words to describe their connectivity problems… I have stopped their service. Once it was coming to an end I had calls everday to check if I am renewing it but if I opened a ticket with the customer service then no one ever bothered to check with me my problem. The customer service never logged the call with details & so if you called back to check the status you would have to go over the details again.

    TATA Internet service is good Yaar am using past 4 years….not yet get any disconnection and all..even compare to other ISP TATA indicom is the BEST for giving feed to customer.Billing also GOOD no Hidden charges in that….i love TATA INDICOM very much.

    Hi,

    I have raised a complaint saying my USB internet is not working & i got this response next day saying its closed. what action they have taken not menction or no changes for me after closing the case.

    IS IT A TRADITION TO TATAINDICOM IF CUSTOMER RAISE A CASE YOU SIMPLY CLOSE WITH OUT ANY RESOLUTION?????????????????????????

    EVEN I HAVE RAISED A CASE OVER THE PHONE BUT NO RESPONSE.

    Never expected this kind of worst or pathatic ( or any better word) from Tataindicom……. i am not able to use internet atlest for 10min from more than a month u ppl will call 10 times for bill payment not even once for service…..too slow not getting signals…………..

    Please respond this mail if your service or like this & not able to solve this problem so that i can forward to all the IT employees ( atleast my company employees) and ask to stop using Tataindicom…………..

    I have bought a tata indicom USB few months ago.
    I havent received my bill since 4 months n everytime they disconnect my connection for not paying my bill.
    When u dont receive ur bill how do u expect to know wats ur billed amount?
    I tried calling customer care n they do not take up the call and even if they do they speak as if they own the company.
    I called up 60607070, they gave me 9225000121, whn I called up there, I got into IVRS loop n never came out of it.. They also gave me 9225008282, which is also a wrong dept..
    TATA INDICOM really sucks.. plz dont waste ur money in buying such a cheap product.

    The worst kind of service provider is TAT indicom. I dont knowwhat the management is doing on these. These ed**ts are really screwing up the respect the great TATA family had once commanded.
    PLEASE DO NOT OPT TATA FOR YOUR CELL PHONE/INTERNET/DATA CARD…

    I have faced severe problems with TATA for the follwoing….
    1. Fixed line Broadband (2006-2007)
    2. CDMA conenction (2007-2008)
    3. Wimax connection (2008-)

    There is no other service provider in my area in Bangalore.
    So id ont have any other choice…..

    I am using tata’s wimax conn bangalore.. i have no problem with it…if at all there is a problem its been addressed immediately.. i am happy with the service.. ho yeaha.my experience with BSNL pathetic customer service. .

    I wrote 3 month earlier that I would share my experience. I do agree that in some part of Bangalore service is really pathetic and in other parts its good. But in my case I am not the lucky one. I am getting pathetic speed. Applied for 512kbs but never got it more than 100 kbps

    Yes, TataIndicom SUCKS, .. this is the worst internet service provider, wastefellows, the backend people dont know how to solve the issue, they say that the problem is solved but still the problem exists, if we complaint again same person instead off solving the issue he threatens as “Why did u complain again”, its almost 5 days that i took this internet service, I am fed up of these people, I get better speed from my dail up, BULL SHIT TATA INDICOM

    15 Things you get with TATA INDICOM BROADBAND –
    1. Headache
    2. 24/7 Tensions
    3. Losing Money Pre Paid for the Connection
    4. Sucking(I did mean Sucking) Pain
    5. Too Bad Support who just forward you to many many concerned departments
    6. Losing lot of money by calling them daily but getting no replies from them
    7. Switched off phones – Service Line guys
    8. 1 Month minimum New Connection Waiting Time.
    9. No Refund for the payments made ie A Dead Investment
    10. No Extra Credit Days even though their servers are down(Fuc**d up)
    11. No Amount in your account even if you have paid a 3 Months pre paid
    12. A Used Second Hand Router which does not work every 5th day and a TATA Indicom support guy comes after a minimum of 48 hours to replace it and get some Bribe for that.
    13. Customer Service Helpline number which changes frequently so you cannot book a complain easily
    14. Value Added Services like Link Down, Bad Connection, Bad Routers
    15. These Guys who install the hubs on rental basis never pay their rents and in return we End Customers lose the connections.

    Yes, PLEASE Buy Tata Indicom Broadband

    I would recommend TATA Broadband to people who are practicing law because they can have long arguments with customer care executives to just lodge a complaint. Oh YES… TATA BROADBAND SUCKS. They have most terrible service. So if you have enough money at hand and want to have a bit of adventure, all the best, have TATA broadband.

    I currently have bsnl, and it sucks big time, any alternatives? can you tell us more about the airtel you are using, price, features etc.

    yes you can have Airtel connection it is better than anybody else. It is better if you get wired connection instead of wireless. prices are more or less same as TATA/relience.

    You are all correct, tata indicom make sure they provide you the worst service. Also, if you register an complaint, they auto-close it and when you start complaining on that, they say that its the backend team which have closed it, and they give an new complaint no, and this process just go on & on.

    Since start of connection on 01st April have not been able to use it for a single second . All complaints gone to deaf ears.
    Will float internal mail to all 4000 employees of my company not to use tata or not to think about taking any new tata broadband connection.
    I will disconnect it asap and shift to Airtel

    I agree with many of the comments above about the TATA indicom WIMAX service. I am in Bangalore. I applied for the connection and paid advance for it. I was given the connection. But from the day one I am facing connectivity problems. The Connectivity sucks. The connection remains down for hours and hours and the customer care executive always seems to have some new reason for it. Dealing with customer care requires a lot of patience, listening skills and extraordinary skills to being able to explain your problem as if you are explaining it to a 3 yr kid.
    They will always want you to follow their set procedure to troubleshoot which is useless at most of the time. They have no answers to your queries and just keep forwarding the calls from one department to another. The time period for problem solving is 48 hours which is ridiculous in todays world. Even MTNL and BSNL have improves a lot on this.

    You have to keep calling them almost twice a week as the problem is persistent. They will behave like they are doing a favor on you by providing the service. The field staff is not very disciplined.

    They seem to be closing the problems on their own without even getting the feedback from the customer.

    And you have to suffer as you have paid advance.

    There was not a single day in the past 4 months that I have not suffered a problem from their end.

    hi,this is om and i have been almost ripped off.i took a tata indicom photon + connection 13 (8-21 apr)days back.my credit limit for it is 1100,anything downloaded extra is 2rs/mb.(which has not been mentioned when i bought it)

    i used the stupid thing only to check 5 mails and it got diconnected 2 days back.i recieved a bill of 32,965+outstanding=3,998.and when i went to complain that i haven’t used it they started showing records of me downloading(16786) and uploading(1587) numerous amounts.when i kept insisting that i haven’t used it they insist that i have to pay the bill,why should i pay the bill for something i haven’t used?they offered to give me 7,000 discount at the least when my point is I HAVEN’T USED IT.

    in the record it is also showing a usage of 2 and half hours of usage the day after my photon was disconnected.when i complained about that they are saying that we will see about that next month.and the customer people talk to me as if am doing all this to avoid paying the bill.indirectly they are disprespecting the customer.

    if i had used it i would have payed it in blink of an eye,my point is why should i pay when i’ve not used it?am deciding to sue them.

    Tata vsnl really suckss…Its the worst internet service. People please dont subscribe tatavsnl internet. Its very bad experience to have such internet service after paying this much money. Its a totally waste of money & time. I bought it for my project term purpose though my project term is over (:P)the internet is not working yet.

    Hi All, I am using the TATA Brand band connection i can say simply its an WORST (India no.1) connection, no services , no customer support but more COST.As my experience who are takking Internet don’t prefer TATA broadband,if you take menas your wasting money,time,and getting headache…..especially chennai, i dodn’t about other cites.If we call customer care they will sir with your permission can we doo some basic troubleshooting that never works out….. Please pass to as many as friends this our personal experience no one should suffer so that we can save somepeople from TATA. Its a kind of paying money and getting torcher or heacdache – Prem

    Hi all im from bombay n’ ive been using TATA Indicom USB modem i took an unlimited plan n’ ive been using it for more than year so far i have never faced any problem regarding the connectivity to the net im very much happy using it n happy to know that i chose TATA n not RELIANCE not even a single time i had to call up the customer service regarding any problem i wud like to thank TATA INDICOM for providing such a good service to me

    mts mobile is actually mental torcher services its sucks .mts only trys to sell his products n connection without caring about the network n billingservices.mts aim is make money only.pls beaware of mts mobile.pls contact for details at 9982481081

    The main reason why I feel Tata Indicom Broaband so called VSNL sucks is because of its higher price than other providers. In a competitive market you need to lower down your price and offer better services.
