Finally, the Tigor EV from Tata Motors has been launched in India and we are going to share all the details that you should know about this car that’s now available for you to buy in India. Today, Tata Motors during an online launch event shared complete details of their second Electric Car and also the features of this specific EV.
First of all, Tata Team emphasized on Tata Power has moved from 60 charging points in January 2020 to 640+ in August 2021 which is clearly a big jump and the company has been working on getting Fast Chargers all over the highways in the country. This means that Tata is very serious about challenges faced by the EV Industry in India and is ready to work more on bringing fast chargers in every location.
The new Tigor EV will be powered by ZipTron Technology. The car comes packed with a 26Kwh Liquid Cool Battery Pack with 306Kms ARAI certified range which means that you can still expect 250+ range. It is certified 4 stars by Global NCAP in terms of safety and will be available in two color options during the launch. The Tigor EV will be available in three variants XE, XM & XZ+/XZ+ Dual Tone
The major difference is that the XZ+ comes with some media features like 4 speakers and 4 tweeters, a Rear Parking camera, foldable rear armrest, driver seat Height Adjustment, Electric Boot unlocking, and more.
Coming to the key specs of this new Tigor EV, it comes with an IP67-certified 26kWh Li-ion Battery Pack along with CCS2 compatible charging socket. In terms of the Charging Time, during Fast Charging it goes from 0 to 80% in 1 hour while if you are going for Home Charging, it takes around 8.5 hours to fully charge. The motor of advanced Ziptron EV architecture offers 55KW peak output and 170NM torque. The motor is also IP67 certified.
In terms of pickup, the car can go from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.6 seconds.

The final price of this new electric sedan starts from Rs 11,99,000 for the XE variant, while the XM variant would cost you Rs 12,49,000 and the top variant would cost you Rs 12,99,000. With the features mentioned, its clear the most of the buyers would opt for the XZ+ variant.
