Windows Phone 7 LogoWindows Phone 7 is launched and its being purchased by every geek only to check out the features of these devices and compare the same with other devices available. Most of the smart phones available these days come up with new updates every few weeks in order offer you with the latest features which is compatible with the device hardware. In this article we will discuss about the Windows Phone 7 and how you could update your device to the latest available version.

All the updates to the Windows Phone would be available through the Zune software which will notify you whenever there is a new update available for your handset. Next follow this procedure –

On Start, flick left to the App list and tap Settings Settings icon. Then tap Phone update.

If the update is available you can install it on your phone by connecting the device to the computer using the USB cable which came in the phone package. Next Click on Settings > Phone > Update under the Zune software.

Make sure that you have enough space on your computer to download these updates because the updates are important and in case you don’t have enough space on your hard disk then you would get the low disk space warning on your computer following which you will have to transfer some of your data to another drive or delete all the useless files on your computer.

I simply want to sync my Windows 7 phone Contacts and Calendar with my Outlook 2007 desktop. I now do it daily with desktop software provided free by RIM for my Blackberry 8900. I use a micro-USB connection.

I don’t want to use the cloud – I have about 6,800 Contact records, many with three phone numbers. I also don’t want to devote time to the process.

I have just returned my two Windows 7 phones.

Perhaps the fellow heading up this project for Microsoft is also being secretly paid by a competitor.

    Best.
