Videocon is betting big on its telecommunication presence by offering most value to its customers. Videocon Mobiles recently launched a new handset with model number V 1606. We managed to get hands on experience with this handset which we would like to share with you as a review.
Videocon’s V 1606 pleases itself with uber cool looks as it comes with a screen size of 2.4’ TFT screen (6 cm) offering a high-resolution of 240 * 320 pixels. Videocon dubs this handset as Entertainment unlimited handset, does it live up to today’s expectation? Yes, this phone which is equipped with dual speakers for giving you an ultimate stereo effect for all your music and with features like stereo FM recording, you will never feel left out in today’s music needs.
We really liked the specialty of Videocon mobiles as all phones come with a dual sim capability, so as this V 1606 handset from Videocon too comes with a dual (GSM + GSM) capability with dual stand by feature embedded into it. But what we really didn’t like is this phone abruptly restarted on its own and also when we tried to load some applications like Google suite and all, it just refused to install. So if you are a person who is not so application freak, then this phone is definitely for you.
What about battery life? Yes, we were very much impressed by the battery life of this handset, as with 1400mAH of battery strength we managed to enjoy the mobile talking of almost 6 hours whereas company claims that on stand-by this phone will last for 350 hours.
What are the other standard features this phone bundled with? This phone’s memory can be expanded to a maximum of 4 GB with an external memory card support of micro SD. This phone also comes with Dual LED Torch, Voice Changer, Back ground Noise Simulation with various effects like railway station, traffic voice clipping etc. This phone comes with a maximum capacity of 1000 phone book contacts as well as support of storing 1000 sms.
The box contents include a Transceiver, a User Manual, Travel Charger, Head set, a Battery and a Warranty Card. This V 1606 phone comes in a mixture of two colors Dual Tone Red and Black with a price tag of MRP Rs. 4695. This phone can be purchased from any of the official Videocon mobile outlets like Planet M, Digi world, Next showrooms or also from your favorite nearest mobile shop.
videocon provides very poor service. they dont provide after sales service on time. they can delay it for a month even more than that.
Hi, i planning to buy videocon V7500 mobile, which is been considered as high end model in videocon mobiles, can anyone tell me about this phone, i am heavy internet user also i use WiFi and my calls goes around 200-350 mins per day.

Please DO NOT Purchase any Videocon Mobile Handsets !!!
I am already blaming myself for my decision to buy it 🙁 Its quality is same as china moble and Service Centers are very lazy and not well equipped takes Months to repair.
Within 3 months of buying it Its motherbord got damaged automatically and Service center guyes are saying its not covered under warranty and need to pay 70%price of phone to replace it.
So DONT buy it at all !!
I heard that vediocon company needs some land for their mobile tower fixation etc., would you give the details of the same.
