{"id":10322,"date":"2010-04-21T06:43:26","date_gmt":"2010-04-21T06:43:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.amitbhawani.com\/blog\/?p=10322"},"modified":"2010-04-21T06:43:26","modified_gmt":"2010-04-21T06:43:26","slug":"optimizing-windows-aero-glass-in-windows-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.amitbhawani.com\/blog\/optimizing-windows-aero-glass-in-windows-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Optimizing Windows Aero Glass in Windows 7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When you are using Windows Aero, you can configure the glass color, transparency, and intensity by completing the following steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Right-click an open area of the desktop and then select Personalize. On the Personalization page in the Control Panel, click Window Color.<\/li>\n<li>As shown in Figure Below, select one of the base colors available. Do this to save time even if you want to use the color mixer.<\/li>\n<li>To enable transparency, select the \u201cEnable transparency\u201d checkbox. To disable transparency, clear the \u201cEnable transparency\u201d checkbox.<\/li>\n<li>Use the \u201cColor intensity\u201d slider to control the intensity of the color. Move the slider to the left to soften the color. Move the slider to the right to make the color bolder.<\/li>\n<li>If you want to adjust the color, click the \u201cShow color mixer\u201d button and then use  Below the hue, saturation, and brightness sliders to achieve the desired color.<\/li>\n<li>Click OK to save your color settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.amitbhawani.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Optimize-Windows-Aero-Glass.png\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.amitbhawani.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Optimize-Windows-Aero-Glass-300x161.png?resize=300%2C161\" alt=\"Optimize Windows Aero Glass\" title=\"Optimize Windows Aero Glass\" width=\"300\" height=\"161\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-10323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.amitbhawani.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Optimize-Windows-Aero-Glass.png?resize=300%2C161&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.amitbhawani.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Optimize-Windows-Aero-Glass.png?resize=150%2C80&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.amitbhawani.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Optimize-Windows-Aero-Glass.png?w=1005&amp;ssl=1 1005w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Changing the experience level and appearance effects<\/strong><br \/>\nBy default, Windows 7 uses the highest experience level your computer is capable of. If you want to change the experience level, complete the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Right-click an open area of the desktop and then select Personalize.<\/li>\n<li>Select a theme to use. This sets the base experience level. In most cases, you\u2019ll have several Windows Aero themes to choose from as well as several basic and high contrast themes. If you choose a theme other than a Windows Aero theme, you\u2019ll be using a reduced experience level.<\/li>\n<li>Click Windows Color to fine-tune the color settings as discussed in the previous section.
