Yahoo Sitemaps is useful if you want your website to be completely indexed in Yahoo search and yahoo generally accepts sitemaps in text file formats which is in urllist.txt or urllist.txt.gz in case of a compressed files format.A text file containing a list of URLs, each URL at the start of a new line. The filename of the URL list file must be urllist.txt.<\/p>\n

You can submit your website to Yahoo \/ Submit site feed using this link<\/a><\/p>\n

Create a Yahoo Sitemap text file using Site Map Pro<\/a>. You can either buy this software or go for evaluation version for generating your sitemap file which can be submitted to yahoo sitemap submit page.<\/p>\n

Site Map Pro uses a wizard based method of creating a sitemap. There are 9 stages of the application. To create a quick standard sitemap:<\/p>\n

Step 1: Select the first “Map a whole website option”
\nStep 2: Enter your website address or browse to your homepage.
\nStep 3: Press Finish

What to show<\/strong>
\nBy default the site map will show Title, Description and URL. This can be changed at step 4. You can choose to show a sample of text from each page too.<\/p>\n

Groups<\/strong>
\nBy default Site Map Pro will group links using the folder name:

\nhttp:\/\/www.example.com\/company\/about.html \t > Company
\nDefining and using groups will let you create user friendly professional sitemap layouts. Group information is saved in configuration files, so you don’t have to define it each time you want to create your sitemap.<\/p>\n
