Windows 7 is a powerful operating system and the reason for this is the huge number of features and use add-on’s. We had previously reviewed different software’s like bzeek<\/a> and connectify which allows you to make your Windows based computer run as a wifi hot spot sharing the Internet connection you have on your PC available to all your nearby computers too through the wireless connection<\/a>. In this article we are going to share another software which is going to offer similar service by creating a virtual router, enabling you to save money by bypassing the need of buying a physical wifi router<\/a>. \"Virtual<\/a><\/p>\n

The Wireless Network create\/shared with Virtual Router uses WPA2 Encryption, and there is not way to turn off that encryption. This is actually a feature of the Wireless Hosted Network API’s built into Windows 7 and 2008 R2 to ensure the best security possible. You can give your “virtual” wireless network any name you want, and also set the password to anything. Just make sure the password is at least 8 characters.<\/p>\n

If you find that the Virtual Router does not directly initialize or start once you install it, you need to make sure that the latest device drivers are installed for the wifi device. The service is encrypted with WPA2 which makes it secure for the connection so that others cannot access it illegally. <\/p>\n
