Question :<\/strong> I have an Apple iPad which is just awesome but i wanted to use more additional features of reading PDF Files on the device apart from watching movies and listening to audio files. The problem is that i currently use the Gmail feature of viewing PDF files through the browser but needs me to connect to the Internet, and i need a solution for reading the PDF files offline on the iPad. Can you post a small tutorial on the same.<\/p>\n

Solution : <\/strong> This is very much possible and is obviously a feature of the Apple iPad which allows you to read soft copy of your books on your device. You will have to get back the Apple iTunes software which is the application which Apple keeps you always locked with in order to use the different features.<\/p>\n

To get started you can use the iBooks application in the device itself. Start the iTunes application and connect\/sync your iPad with the computer. Drag and Drop the PDF file from the computer to the left section of the iTunes application under the Books category which is listed under Library.<\/p>\n

Next the book in the PDF format would be displayed under the Books category as shown below.<\/p>\n

If you dont like the default UnKnown Author<\/em> status which is shown below the book name, you need to right click on the Book and select File > Get Info. Next under the Artist Name, mention the name you would like to be listed under the PDF Book.<\/p>\n

Next you will have to click on the Books section below your Apple iPad device section and select the Books Link.<\/p>\n

Click on the Sync Books by either selecting the ‘All books’ option or else the ‘Selected books’ and click on the ‘Sync’ button.<\/p>\n

Now access the iPad device and then get ahead by tapping on the ‘iBooks’ application. Next you will see a rack of different books listed under the ‘Books’ category.<\/p>\n

Tap on the top ‘PDF’ option which will display you the PDF Books which were synced and transferred.<\/p>\n
