Google Gmail<\/a> is one of the most used services by everyone who uses a computer, because its linked with different major web services and its quite tiring to check out the Inbox every few minutes for any new email. One option would be to use the Google Talk<\/a> software which would display you a small notification when you are Online but if you are not using these kind of IM software<\/a>‘s then its recommended to use the tiny application which is reviewed below. We have reviewed a similar application called as Gmail Notifier<\/a> earlier which can also be useful to you.<\/p>\n

Called as Spiffy<\/a>, this tiny Windows software allows you to easily setup desktop notifications for your Google Mail and Apps Account. Once you download this useful tool from the website, the apple would display you a log once its started as shown below.<\/p>\n

Next comes the setup part where in under the Accounts option you will be asked to enter the Account Name along with user name and password. This would allow you to set upto 5 different accounts under this tool along with the selection of different options. You can check on the check-box to make the tool to check for new emails every few minutes and also you can select the Label option to get notifications from only selected Labels instead of the whole Gmail Account.<\/p>\n

Next Spiffy would display you a Alert on the desktop whenever there is a new email in your Inbox. Its shown like the following alert along with details like sender email, message time, Email subject etc.<\/p>\n
