Despite the assurance provided by Internet websites that the personal information provided is secure and would not be released to other people, there are a number of individuals who access the Internet for the sole purpose of trying to access information of those who access a particular website. These individuals have been called \u201chackers<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n

The goal of each and every hacker is to attain personal information, primarily your username and password in order to access your account and acquire other personal information that they may use for their own benefit. As such, it is very important to make sure that the password that you provide in a particular account you create is easy enough for you to remember however difficult enough for another individual to easily decipher and prevent your account from being hacked.<\/p>\n

Here are a few tips you can do to ensure that your password is strong enough to resist any form of hacking to occur.<\/p>\n

Do not use personal information<\/strong>
\nYou may be surprise to know that some of those that try to access your account are those people you actually know. It is for this reason that it is highly recommended not to use any personal information such as your birthday, social security number, and the like as your password. This would also protect you and your accounts in the event that your personal belongings are misplaced or have been stolen. Be creative in your password<\/strong>
\nInternet websites allow you to use a combination of letters, numbers and special characters for the creation of your password. Make sure that your password contains a bit of these to increase its strength. It is also highly advisable not to limit yourself with using all capital letters or all small letters for the creation of your password. In fact, the strongest passwords<\/a> utilize a combination of capital and small letters, numbers and special characters.<\/p>\n

Do not limit your password length to the minimum<\/strong>
\nInternet password hackers work using the concept of probability in order to hack your account. Oftentimes, they would begin doing combinations using the minimum number of characters permitted by an Internet website for password creation. By using a password longer than the minimum amount of characters increases the number of combinations that a hacker would need to do in order to access your password.

Change your password regularly<\/strong>
\nDo not stick to one password for a long span of time. This would increase the chances of Internet hackers to decipher the password you have used through trying and testing various combinations.
