\"SoulThe Soul series of fighting games recently released their fourth installment called the Soul Calibur IV on July 29, 2008 in America for the Xbox 360 and Play Station 3. This series features the already familiar modes like Story, Arcade, Training and Museum.<\/p>\n

\"Soul<\/p>\n

The story line of the Soul Calibur IV is set in the sixteenth century, and involves legendry characters each having their own story but chasing the same goal to emerge victorious and claim the Soul Swords, Soul Evil and Soul Calibur. Apart from the earthly characters, two new characters from the Star Wars make their appearance in this series who fight in pursuit of the Soul swords.<\/p>\n

The new Xbox and Play Station versions with their 720p graphics showcase the brilliant effort that Ubisoft has put into it. For the first time ever in the Soul series, Soul Calibur IV has the option of fighting against other players online. Two online modes namely the “Standard VS” which is for the classic matches; and the “Special VS” for customized matches where even the created fighters could fight online. There are also multiplayer options for the created characters.<\/p>\n

\"Soul<\/p>\n

The 3D modeling of the characters and the animation in Soul Calibur IV are unprecedented. The fighting arenas have an aura in themselves and are sparkling clear as is the specification of the characters themselves. There is a new mode called the \u201cTower of Lost Souls\u201d that offers plenty of single player challenge. This makes a great gaming experience it has something for both the newcomers and veterans.<\/p>\n

\"Soul<\/p>\n

It is easy to get a hang of this game as one doesn\u2019t require to remember lengthy combo attacks to knock down the opponent, rather what is more important is to know when to attack, when to dodge, and when to block, that is not to say that the characters do not have enough moves in their repertoire as they sure do have an impressive long list of it. The only bad points are that there is no team battle mode and the Story is really short and too text heavy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
