\nGo to your ‘My Computer’ section and right click on the drive in which your operating system is installed and go to Properties. You will find a small option called as ‘Disk Cleanup’ , which when clicked will give you a option to coose the files you want to clean up.

\nGo to Start>Run> Type – ‘Msconfig’
\nYou will be shown the System Configuration option page. Here you need to click on the ‘Startup’ menu to find our all the programs which are loaded once your computer has booted and started. You can uncheck all the applications which you feel are unwanted and you dont need them to be started at boot up time example – Instant Messengers, Movie\/Audio players etc. This can save up huge amount of PC starting time and you can run any of these blocked applications later from your ‘All Programs’ option.
