A smartphone is a phone that can be used for business or pleasure. A smartphone has the capabities to go on the web, plan business meetings, appointments, send and receive e-mails and even check out how your favorite sports team is doing. About 85% of America has a cell phone. On the go calling seems to be the way of life in this century. If you are one of the 15% that does not have a cell phone, or are just looking for a different phone to replace your current one, here is a list of the top 5 smartphones on the market right now.<\/p>\n

\"Blackberry<\/a>Starting at number 5, we have the Blackberry Curve 8330<\/strong>. You can get the Curve 8330 on the Sprint, AT&T and Verizon. The 8330 is the upgraded version of the Curve 8310. The Sprint version runs off of the EV-DO technology and comes in Red and Silver. The only reason why the 8330 doesn’t rank higher because it lacks the wi-fi capabilities. The integrated GPS feature makes up for the lack of wi-fi. The Sprint version you can get through the Sprint website for $179.99 with a new 2 year contract, or you can get it at your local Radio Shack for about 80 bucks.<\/p>\n

\"Blackberry<\/a>Next at number 4 is another blackberry phone. The Blackberry Bold<\/strong>. The bold is only available through AT&T. The Bold is the bulkiest blackberry yet. It comes with a leather backing to protect the battery, which is the largest battery for a blackberry phone, and it had a great HD picture, which is great for watching videos on youtube or movies. It has wi-fi capabilities, and a 2.0 megapixel camera. If it’s so great, then why isn’t it number one? Well that’s because of some of the software issues is has been having over the past 3-4 months.<\/p>\n

\"Black<\/a>Number 3 is a phone one that I am familiar with. It’s the Black Palm Centro<\/strong>, available through Sprint and AT&T. The web feature is very good, calling isn’t bad, and the text message system isn’t that bad either. The only gripe i have with it is the size. The only people that will feel comfortable working with the palm centro are little people and girls with small fingers. Big guys won’t be able to text or dial with it. The best part about this phone, and one of the reasons why its number 3, is that you can get it on an AT&T contract for FREE!<\/p>\n

\"Motorola<\/a>Number 2 is the popular MOTO Q<\/strong>. The Moto Q is a fairly old phone, but still can compete with some of the newer phones out there. The QWERTY keyboard is a great feature. It is easy for texting, calling and e-mailing. The only reason why it is not number one is because it doesn’t compete with the other smartphones because of it’s mediocre GPS feature. Unforunately, it isn’t a touchscreen either so that drops the MOTO Q down as well. But it is still a better phone then the blackberry’s.<\/p>\n

\"Samsung<\/a>The number one smart phone is Samsung Instinct<\/strong>. The Instinct lived up to it’s name and killed the iPhone. The visual voicemail feature is extraordinary and iit’s very easy to navigate around the touchscreen. QWERTY keyboard on the touchscreen is a good feature as well. The only problem I have with it is that there is nowhere on the phone to put the stylus, but you really can’t take off too many points for that now can you?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
