You bought your favorite songs from apple, but you could not play it on any other device which does not have the Apple iTunes software. Welcome to the world of DRM. DRM means Digital Rights Management. If you have bought a CD, you would definitely make a backup on your computer. It is a very common thing. But apple needs to have its proprietary software to play it, in short is in a different format. In order to play your songs anywhere you need to convert it to MP3 format. MP3 is the universal format and why could not I convert my iTunes to MP3. Once again the culprit is DRM. Apple uses a format called AAC\/M4P which would play in your other players. They have encoded it in such a way that those songs cannot be freely distributed. Fortunately there are plenty of ways to come out of this loophole.<\/p>\n

Method 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Get a blank Compact Disc; write all your favorite iTunes on it. Then click it, convert selection would do exactly what you want and you can convert it to your favorite MP3 format. There would be two different formats; one is the MP3 format and the other AAC format. What if there are 10000 songs to be converted, would you burn so many CDs? There are two options; you can either go for third party software or use a CD emulator to fool the software as if you are copying files from a real CD. One of the free software available is the magiciso<\/a>. You can easily create an image file out of it and all you need is select and drag all the files you need to convert into the programs main window .
\nStep1) first select a CD\/DVD image and convert the files into ISO. And then drag and drop the desired contents.<\/p>\n

Step 2) Then click the save button to convert the files into an \u201cISO\u201d. You can now easily edit or change the ISO image by opening it with magic ISO itself.<\/p>\n

Method 2: <\/strong><\/p>\n

There are many third parties software available, but I would suggest JHymn software. Do a Google search and you can get that software. Do check your country policies before downloading it, as it may illegal in your country. It has a user-friendly graphical interface. You just need to drag and drop the files into the software. Choose the format needed as MP3. It would do the rest. Nothing else is needed. It would work only with earlier version of iTunes. Do not try it with iTunes 6 or higher. Out of these methods, choose the one which is better suited to your needs, I prefer the CD Emulator method as it is easy and it saves me a lot of time. There are lots of Free CD Emulator software\u2019s available on the market today. One link worth visiting is http:\/\/www.thefreecountry.com\/utilities\/dvdcdemulators.shtml<\/a>. CD emulator software would create a virtual disc and it would help you to convert your so called proprietary AAC format to MP3 format easily. If you do not use CD Emulators you will be in deep trouble to purchase a whole lot of CDs.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am sure you would follow any one of the methods described here to convert your music file to the Ubiquitous MP3. I would not be surprised if you opt for CD emulator way as it save everyone a lot of time as well as lot of money. No format is unbreakable.
