The Express has three ports. A Gigabit Ethernet port for Wireless LAN or other connections. A USB port for sharing a printer or other peripherals that can work wirelessly and a sound output jack (3.5mm) that plugs into any system that is capable of supporting it. The wireless connection is a blazing fast dual band 2.4GHz or 5GHz network, but does not support simultaneous dual band, that is, all devices should be of the same frequency match-up either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. It also supports additional Airport Express devices for network bridging in a large, well spaced area.
