Before you start with anything first of all you need to make sure you have updated your iPhone to the latest firmwire version and for this you need to connect the handset to the computer and then run iTunes application after which the software will itself check your handsets firmwire and show you a dialog box to update. Click on Download & install which would take some time since a 230Mb sized file would be downloaded and then installed. Once completed you will find that your Apple iPhone is now running the latest OS 3.0 version but is locked and is allowing you to make only Emergency Calls. Dont worry you are not struck because we will go towards the next step now.<\/p>\n

Next download Redsn0w application from here and run the process as we mentioned in our unlocking article<\/a>. Iam going to discuss more about the issues people are getting while unlocking their iphones using the Redsn0w application. If you are finding problems while Jailbreaking & Unlocking your Apple iPhone which is already updated to version 3.0 OS, there may be many reasons behind this. For me while unlocking iphone 3.0<\/a> i found that the installation of Redsn0w got hanged in the middle while the message of ‘Waiting for Reboot’ was on the screen and the handset never rebooted even when i waited for an hour.<\/p>\n

First of all download the zip file for Redsn0w which comes in a zip file and extract it in your C:\/ Drive after which you need to place the Ipsw file which is already stored in your computer. Since you have already updated your iPhone through iTunes, a Ipsw file would be saved on your computer’s hard disk drive which you need to find and copy into the Redsn0w folder which you have already created. People keep downloading the Ipsw file from different websites, forums or official Apple website but most of these dont work which is the reason its recommend to only go for the one which is already saved on your iTunes Resources Folder.<\/p>\n

Next download the Bin files which i have uploaded in zip file<\/a> and keep them ready since they are also required while the installation and then complete the unlocking procedure.
