I have bought a laptop<\/a> a year back, but it always looses its charge, when I require it the most. Very frequently I have to rush to the nearby power outlet to add charge to my laptop. This is a bit difficult for me, as I am too busy with my work. Sometimes I face this trouble at night also. Can I know the way to make the battery life longer? What Are the Best Ways to Keep Your Battery Going for a Longer Duration?<\/strong>
\nThe most effective ways of increasing the life span of your battery are the following:-<\/p>\n

  1. Make the screen of your laptop dim<\/li>\n
  2. Decrease the number of programs running in the background<\/li>\n
  3. Cut down on the external devices<\/li>\n
  4. Defrag regularly<\/li>\n
  5. You can add more RAM<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I know that you are not aware of the results of these processes completely. So let us discuss the effects of employing these processes.<\/p>\n

    Why to Apply the Above Mentioned Methods?<\/strong>
    \nThe first thing you should do is deeming the screen of the laptop. Most of the laptops have the option of deeming the screen. Some also have ways to adjust the CPU and the     cooling performance<\/a>. Decrease all of them to the lowest possible level. This will include some extra juice in your battery.<\/p>\n

    Next you will have to decrease the number of programs running in your background. You have probably installed programs like Desktop Search<\/a>, iTunes etc. All these programs will add to the load of the CPU, and thus decrease the battery life. Shut all the programs which are not essential.<\/p>\n

    The external devices like USB devices<\/a> and WiFi<\/a> generally take a toll on your battery. Remove them when you don\u2019t require them for use and then charge your laptop. This will also help in increasing the life of the battery.<\/p>\n

    You can also add more RAM into your system. This will permit you to increase the memory of the laptop, and you will not have to rather rely on the virtual memory. The Virtual memory initiates use of hard drive, and it is also not much power efficient.
