Airtel has also joined the Direct-To-Home Satellite TV Services list and has launched the service today within 62 cities in India in their first phase with 21000 Airtel retail and relationship centers. The Airtel Digital TV is launched with 175 channels and pricing packages starting 2499Rs for a 6 months subscription with the channel price bands ranging from 99Rs to 424Rs a month.
Airtel Digital TV is based on MPEG4 standard with DVB S2 technology and its HD ready which means that you can get a excellent quality of channels and have a great experiance when compared to traditional tv channel service providers like hathway.

If you ask which package would we recommend, it would definitely have to be the Mega Pack + an addon of the season. Suppose if a cricket series is going to air on Neo, you could add it on for that month. Similarly with other add on channels, use them when you want to. Don’t take an year-long package and waste your money.

Airtel give more packages when compared to other’s it give more packages in Mobile now it’s giving more packages for DTH also the ad preparation cost for this DTH seems to be costly while i saw it in CNN IBN

Airtel digital TV is one of the worst DTH services in the country. Their management simply considers their customers to be big fools for instance try calling their customer care on the toll free number provided every time it will say please wait connecting to a customer care executive the phone line would simply disconnect moreover if you try and recharge your a/c using this number you will end up wasting your hard earned money as even after recharging it will tell your balance to be nil. Even if you somehow are able to connect to one of their so called “customer care executive” all they will do is after putting your call on a 10 minute hold is give you a complaint no. Without actually ever trying to revert back. Even if you try and e-mailing the higher ups in airtel digital they will simply also never revert back because they simply consider their customers to be big time fools.
