Apple Inc’s head, Steve Jobs had announced his goal of 10 million iphone sales and there are many chances that Iphone will be released in India this year end though we have not recieved any confirmed information.
Already the $499 priced iPhone is dropped to a pricing of $229.85 which is almost 55% Drop from the regular pricing and the same change has been made in the 8Gb model of iphone where in the price has been dropped from $599 to $264.85. Lets see what pricing would be fixed when iphones would be sold in india and will they be unlocked version is another big question, though you can read this tutorial on how to unlock apple iphone and get started using the sexy gadget.
Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Retail was the first company to negotiate with apple regarding the sale of iphones in india but now seems the deal is offered to Noida-based HCL Infosystems and Bangalore-based Wipro Technologies according to sources which are also not yet confirmed, but if the deal is confirmed then we can expect Apple to enter the indian telecom market and give the leading cellular company “Nokia” a very big shock in terms of sales and promotions. My next phone after losing my Nokia N95 would be a Apple iphone but i think i need to wait for a couple fortnights before its officially launched in india and its better to wait for that rather than getting it from Gery mobile phone market which has no guarantee.
The best part of Apple is that their stores are excellently designed and have a unique ambience which is the only reason apple is still waiting for some company which can offer these kind of store during collabrations. Currently the apple iphones are available in india in grey market at the cost of 18000Rs to 20000Rs ie 450-500USD. I think iphone is currently expensive… Just for a phone to spend so much i think it is not worth… may be till it releases in INDIA they might drop the price once…. to booost huge sales & market in INDIA… btw… i already saw iphone & also used it… for using it is like another PDA phone just like O2 or can say any other chinese PDA’s

iphone is g8 phone but it lack many feature found in 2000 rup phone.I win that phone but I will never buy till that feature come.so read this blog before buying a iPhone . I still like my nokia 6600.1.no SMS forward.can’t send to multiple. I have to write again n again. 2.no mms 3.no video recording.what the use of 8 gb memory and 2 mp camera if no v recording.3. Not so many software n game . All boring game 4.no 3 g, 5. U cant use it as modem . What the hell this, 6. U can’t download and save file on ur iPhone .u can just see.7. No good file explorer 8.no flash support 9. U can’t install java software and application 10. No good PDF viewer. U can read it with safari .I download 1 book with 1000 page .if I want to read 980th page , I have start from 1 no go to page option. It take aprox 10 Min to reach that page with fast scrolling.good looking phone with a bad feature. Do u still want to buy. I think u have to wait till update include this feature

I hv bought an iPhone from usa. i hv unlocked it and used there with T-Mobile sim card. but when i try to use the same with AirTel, i am getting “iPhone can be used only with approved sim card” .. in usa, i tried with various cards and unlocked using the jai break.

The Latest Iphone which has firmware v1.1.2 cannot be software unlocked.
I mean the iphone which has been bought recently in no way it can be unlocked because apple has already patched all the bugs.
Hackers are waiting for the release of v1.1.3 so as to get the bootloader seczone and possibly will be able to software unlock iphone, but now it can be unlocked using stealthsim, turbosim perfectly.
Turbosim and stealthsim are hardware unlock, but to do that one has to first jailbreak the iphone.
Jailbreak is a a tricky process and many have not been successful with that.
People with 1.1.2 iphone a re waiting for software unlock release, so till that time pls dont fall prey to anyone who says he can unlock latest iphone.
I have 2 pcs of jailbreaked iphone which I want to sell off.
I can ship it in any part of india using dhl.

Well., iPhone unlocked it available in Indian mkts since it was launched in USA, I am using one past 6 months and i can say all is this is one gadget which stayed in my hand for a long time.., I unlocked the iPhone myself and moreover My father runs a mobile retail store and i also had got lot of iPhone’s from USA(AT&S) and also UK(O2) and unlocked myself and sold them.., recently i don’t know what’s the exact price as i m not regularly going to the shop as i had my final semester’s examination
