After trying out the Windows 7 Phone for a few hours i found that i had set many wrong options under the settings and now i would like restore my phone to the factory settings state. Is it possible to perform it myself at home or do i have to take the handset to the HTC windows genius team and ask them to get this task done under the warranty?
Yes you can easily reset your device to the default factory settings yourself because all the latest handsets or smartphones allow you to easily restore the device because the original settings are stored in the memory and they would be restored with a small tap on the right option. This is quite similar to the Uninstallation of applications in Windows 7 Phone
Tap on the settings option by swiping to the left and scrolling to the settings option.
Next under the About you need to tap on the ‘reset your phone’ option. This will delete and wipe of all the data which you had added to the phone and also ensure that the device is restored back the factory settings state.
