How to Access Windows Phone 7 Marketplace outside US

November 19, 2010 by Neal

windows phone 7 market placeBe it technology, applications or even games the first place where it releases in US compared to other markets. All things we can’t access or get it as soon as it is released in the markets like US in India and all. Likewise recently launched Windows 7 market place too is launched currently in US, so now how can you get access to? Very simple, we will guide you in the process so that you will be able to get an access to Windows 7 Market place. The only problem with the access is you can very well try to trial the apps or even download the free apps but when chosen to buy apps or games and if mistakenly if you reset or upgrade your phone then there’s no way to regain those purchased apps but only option to buy again.

All you will need is American Express Credit Card (before that try with your normal Master Card) and US Live Hot mail account which can be easily made.

Procedure to access Windows 7 market place (for Non-US Customers):

  • First you will need to create an US Live Hot mail account by selecting US as your country / region from the places list.
  • Now, go to Windows 7 market place from your Windows 7 mobile device to buy anything which you want, add a credit card (first try with any Master card) to your account by entering the correct set of details of the credit card information.
  • Now, you all you need to do is to just Google an US zip code which corresponds to the 5 first numbers of your real Zip code e.g. If my zip code is 09618-000 and this is the zip code AMEX (American Express) have attached to my Credit Card. I Goggled for “09618 Zip Code” and found out that 09618 is a New York zip code. Then i have put on my billing information on my any NY / NY address and had set 09618 as the zip code.

Do let us know when you tried to access or download the same whether you were able to download the apps or not from the Windows 7 Market Place?

    Hi,

What is the application format supported on this handset? I wish to test my flash lite application (swf), which is not uploaded to the market, how can I package it and then transfer it to the WP7 from my PC?
