Top Dual Slider Phones
A new technology of phones is starting now. We are all seeing touchscreen phones, slider, flip and candy bar-like phones. But a newer version of phone starting to be popular again is the Dual Slider Phone. Basically, these phones slide either, up and down or up and to the side. One company is famous for these types of phones. Pantech made their name for making dual slider phones. It’s amazing technology and all companies have started making these phones lately, as you will see on the list of top dual slider phones.
Starting the list at number three is the Pantech Duo Matrix. The Matrix is only available through the AT&T network. The Matrix is a very cool looking phone, coming is colors like blue, black and green. This phone slide up into a traditional keypad, then slides out into a full QWERTY keyboard. You can get the phone for about 80 bucks on a new AT&T contract. From just looking at the phone and sliding it, it’s easy to tell why this is at the bottom of the list. The keypad and keyboard are not easy to use. The letters on the QWERTY keyboard are very tricky to press, and if pressed too hard, you will end up with more then one letter at a time. Plus the phone itself is very bulky, which is a turn-off for buyers.
In the runner-up position is the Nokia 8208. The 8280 is an unlocked phone that is available in China, as well as the United States for about $500. The Nokia 8280 is a music phone that slides up into a number pad and when slid down, it reveals the multimedia controls. Unlike all of the other Nokia dual slider phones, it doesn’t belong to the N-Series, which makes all techies wonder what is coming next from Nokia. It has a 3 megapixel camera, GPS capabilities, and the battery life is so good, it will allow music to play for up to 20 hours at a time!
The top dual slider phone out right now is the Samsung F520. The F520 is, like the Nokia, an unlocked phone that matches any smartphone out there. This dual slider phone had a touchscreen, as well as a sliding number pad and full QWERTY keyboard. It has a flash, and media player build in, along with bluetooth capabilities, and a 3 megapixel camera. This phone runs on the EDGE network, and is great for web browsing, e-mailing, instant messaging, and texting. The Samsung F520 is like an Instinct and a Pantech Duo all wrapped into one killer phone.
