How to Change/Reset a BIOS password

Bios passwordIf you are a normal computer user who has forgot his BIOS password and you are unable to access to your BIOS, then you need a simple way to change your BIOS. Its not that hard because you just need a simple trick to reset your BIOS password.

Open your CPU cabinet after switching OFF the power and then try to locate the CPU battery which can be found very easily. Once you locate your battery you need to remove it once and restart your PC without the battery.

Find Cmos Battery Check

Note : Once you remove your battery from the mother board, you will find that all your time settings in your computer would be lost, and some softwares may stop working which are based on your computer time.

Bios Password Check

You need to shut down your PC again and now add back the battery which will enable you the time saving feature and also reset your BIOS password.

    another way to reset BOIS password is to removing the jumper near the CMOS Battery though it is not easy thing for normal users ,removing CMOS battery and putting back will reset the Bios password which is easy for normal users.

    hi, iam unable to enter the main screen after i log in , it will load the settings suddenly it will get log off. i tried tn safe mode also but no use. i can’t format the harddisk b’coz i just require that data ………so please give me a solution

    @ srikanth Your system is infected with virus ,repair the OS though which is not the right thing to do now when infected,repair the OS then you will get into windows for sometime without logging off backup your data and scan with latest updated antivirus if it can’t find anything ,since you have already backup the data format your OS drive that is c drive.

    thanks venkat for solution ,, i just want to know if i repair the os is there any possibilities of data loss… b’coz i just kept kept some important data in C:……is there any other solutiion to solve the problem
