Compress PDF Files & Reduce File Size with NicePDF

September 24, 2009 by Amit Bhawani

Normally most PDF files are atleast 1mb in size and they go upto 5-10mb in size because of the high quality Images, lot of Information and other graphics with them and whenever you try to send these files to your friends these can increase your work load because the larger size take lot of time to upload if you are on a slow interenet connection. Also if the receiver is going to check out the files on his iPhone or any other smart phone he has to pay for download bigger files and along with slow down because of larger files. The only best solution for this would be to reduce the file size of the PDF files while retaining the quality and this is possible with a software called NicePDF.

The website offers you with a paid version but you can try it out with a Trail Version available at Softpedia Downloads

Features of NicePDF

  • Nice PDF Compressor removes duplicate PDF objects, optionally takes advantage of new compression features of latest PDF specifications that for many classes of documents compresses 30 – 60% better than what is possible in PDF.
  • Nice PDF Compressor allows you to shrink PDF file by using Flate or RunLength compression algorithm. With this software, you are able to set the compression level to generate PDF files of the smallest size.
  • Another benefit of this software utility is batch conversion; you can compress all PDF files in any folder in batch. You can also decompress PDF files and restore to their actual sizes.

The online limitation while using the Trail Version is that you need to wait 25 seconds before the Actual Compression Starts.
