Dell Laptops Vs Apple MacBook Price & Features Comparison

August 8, 2010 by Amit Bhawani 4 Comments

Apple has always been comparing their products with the Windows based Computers by publishing different videos on their official website which is actually something we would have never expected at-least from a company which prefers selling Quality Products. If Apple is serious about their business they should never criticize their competitors directly but now since they have been doing this, now other companies have also started doing the same stuff.

Dell has added a new section reported as Back to School – Apples to Apples Comparison where Dell is comparing the Apple MacBook Pro 15 & MacBook Pro 17 with the Dell Studio Computers. The best part is that Dell has clearly compared with all the key features which people look into while buying new Laptops and finally comparison of the Price is the most important section because that makes everyone more inclined towards the Dell Studio series as there is a direct savings of around 40-45%.

Dell Apple Comparison Chart

Most of these reports are not perfect and its obvious that the company which creates these charts would boast about their products, which is clearly shown in the above chart. Dell has not given information on the Graphics Chips because that is more important than the size which is claimed to be double of the Apple offered 512Mb.

We agree with everything which is mentioned in the above chart and would also recommend everyone to buy Dell Laptops because of the features, pricing and also because its one of the Most Recommended Laptop Brand etc but the only reason why someone would buy an Apple Laptop is the Mac OS X Operating system which is far more superior and powerful when compared to the buggy Windows 7 Operating System.

Additionally you can also avail Student Discounts on Apple MacBook Prices which is not mentioned in the chart.

May I ask, what’s buggy in Windows 7 OS? It’s the best OS created by Microsoft till date.

It is certainly the best but you cannot compare it with the Mac OS X. Still in Windows 7 there is a lot of RAM Leak following which when you try to run multiple applications you can get errors.

I had a dell inspiron laptop and a dell desktop. I just recenty moved to the apple family. I got a Mac Book Pro, and I am really satisfied. It serves my needs. I use softwares like Logic Pro, Aperture and Final Cut pro, and for some reason I find it extremely easy to use. The functionality is great and using External audio hardwares and setting it up is actually Plug and play unlike windows where I had to install driver after driver. I still have my windows Desktop and I have used cubase for a few years and I have saved documents. But Mac OSX FTW ! oh.. and I am no way against windows. This is just my opinion as to what suits me, and afaik all windows users and just hesitant to move to the mac because of “issues” regarding compatibility. I had not a single problem and I use my mac extensively. Above all , if you still want to have windows running, you can have it installed on your mac !

The Apple Macbook graphics RAM is lesser than that of the Dell laptops. Still, all of them are pretty strong enough.
