Get Free AVG Antivirus Licence

November 15, 2008 by Amit Bhawani

AVG Antivirus 8I use AVG Antivirus on my Sony Laptop and at our office, because of which i have purchased a multi-licence of the latest version ie AVG 8.x which offers excellent protection. I just made a renewal of my licence and recieved a free extra licence which i wont be using anyway on my computer and i would like to offer it for free to my readers. There are many antivirus softwares available on the web but i generally prefer Avg and Kaspersky because both of these are super quick in scanning and also they dont use any heavy system resources unlike norton antivirus which i really hate.

Nice share Amit, I use Norton Internet Security Suite 2008, Ive tried AVG 8 free version and liked it for its speed and less memory consumption when compared to Norton, but switched to Norton coz it offers allround security when compared to the free version of AVG.This license will help me move over to a lighter and efficient AV.

Hi Amit, Its really great to receive your mails. Keep up the good work! I use eScan but I’m not finding it too good, especially since pen-drives and ext HDDs are a menace bcoz of VBScripting et al. You may send me the license please for which I shall be greatly indebted to you. Thanks and regards.

Hello Amit, Its great to receive your emails about the latest in technology. I use ESET Smart Security and it is very good. It does not eat memory at all and takes care of the system well. Regarding AVG plus Kaspersky, particularly for kaspersky it gets so jumbled up in the registry file to remove it takes a hell lot of practise. AVG license I want to check how good it is compare to NEO that I use.

    hi amit,
i use NOD 32 which is better when compared to AVG, that is my opinion. NOD is fast to scan and update.

    Hi Amit,

I am a big fan of AVG and have been using the same over 4 yrs, but never bothered to actually buy an AVG licence. I have been using the free one so far. The fact is I have not so far found any paid or free version of antivirus which is as good as AVG.

    cheers!

    Hi Amit,

I came to know about this AVG anti virus through my friend. He told very high about AVG. At that moment I felt like having one for myself. Currently I am using NAV-2006 Trial version for time being because of some financial issues.

Like always just bought a single AVG license yesterday, AVG internet security suite is looking good. I think it is a good investment made. The firewall module is bit of a pain initially to configure but I still feel the HTTP traffic scanner is not as cool as ESET NOD 32 🙂 which i used some days back.
