I gifted my mother a Sony PSP on her birthday which was on last month. She is a person who likes to work with computers very much, so I chose such a gift for her. During the time of purchase it said that I had 35 MB. But now it is telling that I have only 1000 KB even after I deleted all the assets installed by my mother including the music and games.
My mother is continuously trying to put MP3s on the PSP, but it is refusing to accept any of them. I am also trying to drag songs to the music folder, but the result is the same. The only message I have received from it is that I don’t have enough memory. I am puzzled with this problem. Will you please help me out?
What is the Problem with This Sony PSP?
I think that you are not very used to working with such devices. You have to gather some more knowledge about using PSP memory stick devices before using it with much better results. The problem you are having is basically aggravated due to the affinity of the Windows towards hiding files from the regular users during the time of browsing devices.
The result of this is the hiding of files if you look at the regular Windows, but they are all still present on that memory stick. It may also be caused by the fact that you are only dropping the files into the trash and not deleting them from the trash.
The best solution to this problem is formatting the memory stick. It will solve all your problems.
How to Format the Memory Stick?
First you will have to push the small Home button placed on the left of the unit. Then use the side arrows to reach the Settings area, and again use the up/down arrows to find the System Settings.
Once you have reached the System Settings area you will have to scroll the X button and find the Format Memory Stick option. Select that option clicking on the X button. The Sony PSP will then send a message for having confirmation of the decision of formatting your memory stick, click on yes. The process of formatting will be completed within a few seconds.
