How to Get Free Music Download on Sony PSP?

May 23, 2008 by Amit Bhawani

Music is my passion, but it is not always possible for me to buy audio CDs and MP3 or downloading songs from the web. All of these are pretty costly affairs and can not be performed on a regular basis. So some free sources of music are required.

If you are in search of downloading free music to your PSP, then you must that there are a number of websites offering free downloading of music on your PSP. Some of those sites are illegal and you must always be careful while downloading music from those websites.

None of you will want to face any kind of legal hazards for downloading the illegal MP3s. If the site is illegal you will find that the quality of the MP3s is poor. It is also to be noted that most of the sites providing free MP3 download are illegal, but there are legal sites also.

What is the Procedure of Downloading Music?
At first you will have to connect the PSP with the USD cable, and then click the home button located on the left of the screen of the PSP. After that you will have to apply the left and right button to find the settings and the up and down button to locate the USB connection. Press the X button and your PSP will show that the USB is connected. Then the PSP drive will be shown on the computer as a removable disk. Create a folder named as PSP within the PSP drive and again create another folder named as Music within it (the PSP folder).

Then you can copy a number of MP3 files according to your choice and wish. After you finish downloading the songs, then press the O button and come out of the USB connection.

What to Do Once the Downloading is complete?
Now you’re prepared to start listening to your favorite collection. Use the left and right arrows for moving into the area of music, then move the up and down arrows for finding the Memory Stick. If you get to that music folder pressing the X button then you will find all your downloaded music.

So you can see that downloading free music is not at all a tough job but the only thing you will have to keep in mind is whether the site is legal or not. Once you have selected a legal site, then you will not face any kind of trouble during and after the downloading your chosen musical tracks.
