How to Insert SIM card into Htc HD 7 Mobile Phone

December 7, 2010 by Amit Bhawani

The HTC HD 7 is considered to be one of the best Windows 7 Phone not just for the operating system but for the hardware configuration. In this article we will be giving you a basic idea on how to insert the Sim card into the mobile phone.

To get started you need to open the back cover of the phone unlike the Nokia N8 mobile phone where in you can insert the Sim card from the side slot. First of all you need to detach the Sim card from the T-mobile card which comes with the package.

Next please your fingernail in the notch on the top of your Htc phone and then pull out the back battery cover in order to detach it from the body.

Detach Back Battery Cover

Note : The lower back portion of the back cover is NOT removable. Removal will damage your phone and void the warranty, hence make sure that you never touch the lower back side of the device.

Next pull the battery release and lift up the battery to remove it. Its a small cloth based release intended to lift up pushing the battery outside easily.

Slide the Sim card into the slot available below the battery location, and finally only a 30% of the Sim card would be visible after sliding. A very small preview of the Sim placement invisible on the phone which would give you a idea on how it has to be inserted.

Finally insert the battery back into the phone with the gold contacts aligning on the battery to the contacts in the battery compartment. Fit the battery back into place and replace the back battery cover.

Power ON the phone back to the original state and within a few seconds the phone would recognize the SIM and you will be able to enjoy calling your friends easily with all the Tiles styled options.
