6284_0709iphone_frontIf you need to claim warranty of your Jailbreaked or Bricked iPhone from Apple then you need to Virginize the iPhone. Virginizing stands for make your iPhone same as Apple gives you inside the box. For unbricking the iPhone we need to restore the iPhone with DFU mode . Remember don’t waste yor time to unbrick the iPhone in simple restore mode.

Q : Will Jailbreaking my iPhone Voids the Apple Warranty?

A : No, Jailbreaking is risk free and cannot void your warranty. You can simply restore in iTunes at anytime to get back to a factory state.

Q : How can i unbrick my iPhone before claiming Apple warranty?

A : As we said earlier a restore in iTunes make your iPhone get back to factory settings. To achieve a  clean restore you may need to put your iPhone in to DFU mode before restoring the device follow the steps given below and make sure to read the guide twice or thrice if you are doing this first time.

Step One : Make sure your iPhone is turned on no matter if you stocked at Boot logo or Pineapple logo.

Step Two : Put your iPhone in to DFU mode. We have two methods to achieve DFU mode but i like the Method 1. If you are facing any problem with method 1 then try your luck with method 2.

Method 1)

  • Attach the iPhone to the computer
  • Turn the iPhone off
  • Press and hold power and home buttons together for *exactly* 10 seconds
  • Release power but keep holding home button (estimated time 30 sec.) until the computer recognized the USB device.

Method 2)

  • Attach the iPhone to the computer
  • Turn the iPhone off
  • Press and hold power. Keep holding power. As soon as you see display on the screen of any sort press and hold home.
  • Hold power and home together for *exactly* 10 seconds
  • Release power but keep holding home until the pc beeps as a USB device is recognized.
  • At no point will the display come on. Now your restore should work.

Step Three : If you achieved DFU mode successfully a popup in itunes will appear saying your iPhone is in restore mode and must be restored. Now press shift-click on the Restore button (option click for Mac users). Then browse to the latest firmware file you wants to restore your iPhone.
