HTC Flyer vs Samsung Galaxy Tab Tablets Compared

Samsung Galaxy Tab vs HTC Flyer

Samsung Galaxy Tab kicked off with a greater success with lots of advertisements everywhere and it gave a serious competition to Apple iPad and atleast in those countries where Apple iPad was not officially launched it was a clean winner. Now there are a dozen of tablets available in the market as the market is growing stronger and stronger.

Last time we have compared Apple iPad with Samsung Galaxy Tab and we had comparison of Samsung Galaxy Tab with Motorola Xoom. And here comes the comparison of recently launched HTC Flyer which is the first tablet launched by HTC vs existing Samsung Galaxy Tab. We have compared both of the tablets with parameters like design, connectivity, operating system then use, multimedia wise & other parameters wise so that it gives you a clear idea which one to choose.

Operating system

When it comes to operating system HTC Flyer wins the race with Android 2.4 incorporated with it, whereas Galaxy Tab disappoints the users with old Froyo 2.2 version.

Software

One would definitely have a look at the software’s side of any tablet device and so he can judge its price & worth. HTC Flyer ships with Qualcomm 1.5 Ghz processor with 1 GB RAM where as Galaxy Tab is with 1 Ghz ARM Cortex A8 processor with 512 MB of RAM. Again HTC Flyer takes just a slight advantage.

Storage Capacity

With HTC Flyer you can store up to 32 GB on its on-board storage drive and wins the race as the Galaxy Tab comes with mere 16 GB of data storage. Recently launched Galaxy Tab 2 comes with 32 GB storage but Galaxy Tab still remains with no change in specifications.

Display

One who is paying hundreds of dollars would expect the device to be rich on display and resolution. HTC Flyer has got amazing 7 inch capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch gesture support and it’s just the same 7 inch display screen with Galaxy Tab. So it’s a tie between them.

Multimedia

The HTC Flyer is flying high with technical specification on a stronger side. It has got impressive 5 megapixel camera at rear side providing you with rich 720 pixels HD recording and 1.3 megapixel camera on front side. Where Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with 3 megapixel camera and 1.3 megapixel front camera added to that we have flash.

Connectivity Options

Now coming to the connectivity options both have same specifications listed with features like DLNA, 3G, HSDPA, HSUPA, WiFi and Bluetooth v3.0. HTC Flyer takes the Bluetooth v 3.0 to the next level by speeding up the process of pairing devices and respectable DLNA ability.

Battery

Now it’s Samsung Galaxy Tab who wins the race in terms of power backup. It’s battery last for 7 hours on a continuous playback but the only backdrop of HTC Flyer is that it just offers 4 hours of video display.

Price

The newly born HTC Flyer is price at $ 900 as UK price reveals and Samsung Galaxy Tab is priced at $850.

Final Verdict

So it clear that HTC Flyer takes the front advantages when it comes to technical specifications and multimedia support. The only thing which will make you think of buying HTC Flyer is its battery backup which is not more than 4 hours during the video playback.

As far as My personal review is concerned HTC smartphones consumes more battery than any other Smartphone. Even if you are working while charging your phone it consumes more battery then actually getting charged.
overall HTC is good for its Large LED Display .

A very nice compare, but HTC Flyer is not compared in any way with rocking, Samsung Galaxy Tab. Using it from long time, even tab 2 is popular these days. Thanks for the great review.
