Make Windows XP Look like Windows 7 with Transformation Pack

November 3, 2009 by Amit Bhawani

I have been using Windows XP and liked it so much that i didnt even bother to move to Windows Vista when it was launched and since the Laptop came Preinstalled with a Licensed Copy of Windows XP, there was no point of moving to other OS. Now when Windows 7 is around i thought to either buy a new Copy or else get a Look which looks similar to Windows 7, which is when i tried of Windows 7 Transformation Pack specifically for Windows XP computers.

Convert Windows XP Windows7
Convert Windows XP Windows7

The Seven Remix XP is a full installer which has a complete collection of files, icons, images and animations which are a part of Windows 7 Operating System. This is a transformation pack which means that you are going to change the way how stuff looks in Windows XP but not the way it works because you can feel you are in Windows 7. The installer automates the process of substitution of system files. It applies adjustments in the registry, it installs programs of third, skins and visual extras like sounds, styles, etc. In addition, it makes a backup of its archives in case that it needs to recover them. It is enough with executing the desinstallation from the menu Beginning or Adding or clearing programs.

I’m not sure why people wouldn’t want to upgrade…unless their computers don’t have the resources.

Vista SP2 was far superior to XP and I’ve been running Win7 for some time now in beta and find it to be way better then Vista.

    Cheers,
    Rod

If Windows XP is really working well for you and if you got no time to upgrade to Windows 7 just for the sake of upgradation then there is no point. Just continue with what works best at the moment. 🙂
