April 11, 2010 by Tony Stark

It’s new in the market but it has already made a good name for itself. Olive is an Indian company dealing in telecommunications and accessories and now it’s into the market with its new model V-G8000, also known as the Olive Msgr V-G8000 mobile phone. If you are planning to buy a low cost yet tech savvy mobile phone that can take care of your entertainment as well as mobile needs, then this could be the one for you. Designed for the very basic usage, the most loved feature of the mobile is the QWERTY keypad that lets you type your messages with the comfort of a standard computer keyboard.

Olive V-G8000 Mobile PhoneDesign and Appearance: With a sturdy build quality, the Olive Msgr V-G8000 features a glossy and smooth fiber finish. The hard plastic casing protects the phone from minor damages like scratches and other wear and tears during transit. The compact battery compartment is secured by a dual-sliding door mechanism system. Overall the looks of the V-G8000 is quite simple yet stylish and sturdy.

Specifications and Features: Popularly known as the “King of SMS” the phone features a complete QWERTY keypad with the keys so arranged, as to support dual thumb operation. Also the 2.2” wide screen TFT LCD provides a wider view of the screen than any other phone of the same price range. The internal memory of the device can store up to 250 SMS and 100 phone book entries to manage your important messages and your contacts. Another reason as to why users prefer the V-G8000 is its long battery life. The Li-ion battery offers a standby time of nearly 400 hours and a talk time of about 10 hours. To take care of your entertainment it comes with a built in FM radio with a stereo headset. The speakers are also good and offer clear and crispy sound. Thus to conclude it can be said that simplicity had been the key word in the designers mind while designing the device. At a very affordable price, it offers you the very basic functions of a mobile phone in a stylish and tack way.

Pricing : The Olive V-G8000 is available in India at a price of just Rs 1999/- only. Do check out Olive Zipbook Laptop

the price is attractive..the 100 phone book is a negetive feature. nowadays, atleast 1000 phonebook is a must. details of internal memory, internal user meory and option of external memory sd card and its maximum capacity should always find a place in your reviews. if these details are not available, it should also be mentioned in the review. if this phone book was available with 1000 phone book, atleast 20mb user memory and externalsd card of 4gb, it would become arage in the india market. indian consumers are using cellphones extensively and expect the minimum specs as i pointed above. touchscreen is an option, but not essential. a long battery life is a must. good display clarity and clear and loud earphone with dual speakers is also now a days an essential peoples requirement.
