Play or Watch any Movie Files on Apple iPad & iPhone – Codecs Pack

We had long back written about a software for your computer which would allow you to Play Any Video File with Codecs which is also listed under the list of Top 5 Audio Video Players with Encoders or Decoders Tools. All of these software’s are useful for desktop based computers but what about the Apple iOS based devices? They just run only a few limited file extension based videos like avi, mp4 etc, hence in this article we are going to suggest one useful application called as the OPlayer Lite for the iPhone, iPod Touch and OPlayerHD lite for the Apple iPad, available at the App Store for free of cost.

Once you download the respective app from the Apple App Store, you will be able to run it easily. Next once you are within the application the first screen would show you three different options ie My Documents, Open URL, Web Browser. This means that you can easily access the internet using this application and also you can directly open any specific web page using the options on the main screen of the application as shown below.

How to transfer files to iPad :
Through iTunes : This is the simple way in order to transfer all your favorite movies to your iPad using the iTunes application. In order to get started connect the device with your PC and run iTunes. Next you need to implement a few steps which are the same for Apple iOS devices as we have earlier mentioned in the Transfer Pictures & Videos from Apple iPhone to Windows.

The above method is easy and works perfectly but is not going to work for all the file extensions following which we are going to suggest you using the OPlayer Lite application. Download it for free from the Apple App Store and then run the same. Once you run the App, the following screen would be displayed.

You need to click on ‘My Documents’ folder which will show you different movies which you had earlier transferred. Along with that there are two more options ie ‘Open URL’ & ‘Web Browser’ using which you can surf the web. To start transferring movie files from your computer to your iPad you need to Tap on the ‘more’ option.

Here you need Tap on the WiFi Transfer button which will pop-up a small box giving you some information which says – In order to prevent network connection from breaking, auto-locking feature of this device is being blocked while you see this window. Your device will NOT automatically turn off and battery may get discharged faster. You may consider connecting your device to battery charge or USB-port of your computer.

Once you access the IP on your computer, you will be shown with the following window which says – Upload/Download files to/from OPlayer. Just click on the Browse button and then select the movie or music file from your computer. Once the right file is selected you need to click on the ‘Submit’ button.

The only drawback using this application is that you will have to bear a small advertisement which is powered by Admob and would be displayed on the top center of the screen. If you are not connected to the Internet then a blank space would be displayed on that ad location.
