Reliance BIG TV, the DTH arm of Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group today launched 7 new channels including DD HD keeping Common Wealth games in mind taking the count to 238 TV channels and 11 Radio channels for its subscribers. Reliance BIG TV currently has a subscriber base of around 2.4 Million subscribers.
The 6 channels which are launched are DD Sports HD (HD version of DD Sports), Saakshi TV channel (Telugu News channel), Subhavartha TV (Telugu Religious channel), Aaseervatham TV (Malayalam Religious channel), Ruposhi Bangla (Bangla Entertainment Channel) and DY 365 (North East News channel). There are few more channels which will be added soon and the same are under testing on channel number 426 and also on channel numbers 963 and 997.
The channels added are available on the below mentioned channel numbers:
426 – Test Channel 1
509 – DD Sports HD
858 – Saakshi TV
859 – Subhavartha TV
874 – Aaseervatham TV
929 – Ruposhi Bangla
963 – Test 2
969 – DY 365
997 – Test 3
Reliance BIG TV also reduced the entry price to the lowest in the industry for just Rs. 990 with no monthly free subscription but with free installation and Set top Box (STB).
