If you are a professional in blogging then dont think about short term and think about some serious long term goals and plans for making money on the web. Its not really hard but anything is not really easy too. Here are some very important points you need to keep in mind when you are into blogging and money making.
Setting up Goals : Everything is about long term and goals are seriously important when you are looking out for making money with your hard work. You need to assign your goals in multiple ways like Traffic Goals, Subscribers/readers Goal, Revenue Goals etc.
Traffic Goals would be like at the end of the year targets like by the end of the year 2009 i would have xxxxxx number of visitors to my blog with xxxxxxx number of page views and increasing always with a minimum growth of 5% every month, this way you can always try hard to beat last month’s traffic count by a very small % which is practically possible and when the goal is reached you , yourself would try for a better goal the very next year.
Example :
Month 12 – 5000 Visitors
Month 13 – 5000 + 5% = 5250 Visitors
Month 14 – 5250 + 5% =
Revenue Goals should also be assigned on the 5% monthly incremental basis but you should make sure that this rate is kind of hard because as the traffic grows the revenue increases but at a certain stage the revenue from your blog can burst up a lot because when you recieve a fame in blogging ie at the time when your blog ets huge attention from many bloggers, then its obvious that you would recieve a huge revenue because of the buzz, so revenue should not be the main concern in the first 2 years of serious blogging, but it can always start supplementing you with some good money after 6 months of your blogging.
Month 12 – 1000$/month
Month 13 – 1000$ + 5% = 1050$
Month 14 – 1050$ + 5% = 1103$
Subscribers Goals is something like you shoul have a target for the number of subscribers you would have at the end of the year and every month based on some very small calulations like everyday if you target atleast 5 new subscribers who would subscribe via different readers or email subscription to your blog, at the end of the month you can have around 150 subscribers to your blog. If all mainly depends on the targets you assign and the speed at which you complete them. Everything should be on a incremental basis where in your speed of getting subscribers would also increase as the time passes because your blog gets more famous and you are able to recieve more traffic.
Month 1-3 Daily Subscribers Targets – 3
Month 1-3 Total Subscribers – ~300
Month 4-6 Daily Subscribers – 6
Month 4-6 Total Subscribers – ~800
Month 7-9 Daily Subscribers – 10
Month 7-9 Total Subscribers – ~1700
Month 10-12 Daily Subscribers – 15
Month 10-12 Total Subscribers – ~3000
In this way if you assign your calculations and setup your total subscribers targets and try to assign them.
You can achieve all of the targets if you assign them properly with the right calculations because there is no point if you have setup targets which are practically not possible. Try to target something which is really possible and which can keep you satisfied for continuing your blogging.
So do I correlate the 5000 visitors to $1000 in the 12th month 😉 …
Hell No!
You need More visitors!
5000 Visitors means = 100-200 dollars with adsense for content!
It can vary, Amit must be having some thing to say———–
Amit you are mentioned to set goals ,you are not mentioned how to achieve them ,does with keep writing can we achieve set goals or any creative thoughts and steps required if so mention.
Hell No, Related 5000 visitors to 50 dollars with adsense for content! Depends on Content really!
Amit what you have to say?
It really depends on the content too… I had started a Bollywood website and got about 50,000 visitors by Month 5 – but all i earned was about $30.
Bollywood sites dont get paid well… Health or tech gets paid well IMO.
Very useful tips …
keep it up bro..
I am new to google adsense. Please advise me how to get traffic. Thanks in Advance.
