How to Setup the HTC HD7 Windows 7 Phone

Congrats on purchasing the best Windows 7 Phone currently available online ie the HTC HD 7. Once you buy the device you will be shown with a option of setup of the device. To get started you will have to first download and Install Microsoft Zune software on Windows. Next you need to connect the handset to your computer using the Micro SIM to USB Cable and then run the Zune application.

The computer will start installing the drivers, following which the Zune application would show the Setup Window as shown below.

Please take a few moments to set up and personalize your phone. If your phone needs an update, this could take a while.

Next Steps Might Include :

  • Configuring Zune Software.
  • Choosing a friendly name for your phone.
  • Updating your Phone with the latest features

After setup, you can directly sync your media and start using your phone.

Next you will be asked to assign a name for your Phone. Personalize your phone. Be creative, pick any name you want. Your Phone will have the same name whenever you see it, on your phone, in Zune software and on the web. You can also change these options once the setup has been completed, hence there is no need to worry about any of these.

Next Zune will start verifying the software version and confirm if there are any available updates for the same through the Internet.

Finally the device would be set and you would be find that the local files on your computer would be sync with the handset and also different device information is given like the used storage space and available space.
