Windows 7 is considered to be one of the Best Operating Systems for the features and functions offered when compared to the previous versions. We had earlier covered different ways to make your Windows 7 based computer a wireless hotspot by using software’s like Connectify. In this article we are going to show you how you could share your wireless internet connection to LAN connected computers.

Most of the required files and options come pre-installed on your Operating System out of which you need to configure the same. To get started you need to access the ‘Network and Sharing Center’. Check out the following steps :

Right click on the Connectivity Icon which is located on your system tray and then click on ‘Network and Sharing Center’.

Network Sharing Center

Next you need to click on the ‘Change Adapter Settings’, followed by selecting the Ethernet Adapter and then right clicking on the same, selecting the last ‘Properties’ option as shown below.

LAN Properties

Next you need to click on the ‘Sharing’ Tab which allows you to share your Internet Connection with other users. You can Allow other network users through your current Internet Connection and also allow or disallow other users to control or disable the shared Internet connection. You need to check to YES for both of these settings as displayed below.

Once you set the above mentioned settings you will be assigned a Static IP address which means that a IP which is not going to change and you can access your LAN adapter with that specific IP address. Your computer may lose connectivity with other computers on your network.

Local Network Enabled

Once you press on Yes, the above mentioned box will remove any IP address which was previously entered under the network settings and any user who wants to access your Internet Connection has to take any Sub IP’s which have a different D Class changed in TCP/IP 4 configuration. You can also check out other options like Direct PC to PC Transfer or using a Virtual Router.
