When & Why should you Start Network of Blogs?

January 17, 2011 by Guest Writers

Blogging NetworkBlogging is a level game, which means you have to play the game of blogging level wise. Starting from the base level you need to reach the top level. But the game is very tough in the initial stages, as soon as you become usual it becomes little bit handy and easy to manage.

From a long time I was observing one matter, most of the bloggers in my network are working on one blog; they are providing valuable and unique content to their readers. On the other hand, there are some bloggers who are managing multiple blogs and updating ALL the blogs SIMULTANEOUSLY with new and beautiful content.

While observing other bloggers, a question arises in my mind “Should I start one more Blog?” I hope the same question has gone through your mind too. There are various factors which affect the answer of this question.

Do you want to increase Your Network?

The above question (“Should I start one more blog?”) is only valid for only those bloggers who are thinking about to become big and thinking about establishing a network of blogs like TechCrunch (AOL Network).

In fact it’s true that, you can earn handsome money from single blog, than why to go for more blogs? But money cannot be compared to fame. Because running a blog network and running a single blog both are different from the view of online market (Which I think so?).

More Blogs = Different Niches = Different Communities = More Fame = Big Money

When to go for it?

It is most important and decisional question. I have seen many newbie bloggers, they start multiple blogs for the sake of attracting more audience and money but they are not able to UPDATE all the blogs REGULARLY.

If you are a new blogger cum student/doing job and running a single blog with small audience, than it will be a wrong decision for you to go for multiple blogs. Because collecting unique content for single blog consumes good time. It will be tough or feel like a burden when you need to collect content for multiple blogs. Don’t go for it now!!

In my opinion, a new blogger must populate the single blog and take it to good level. When he/she find that he/she have gained the loyalty of the readers and earning expected money, than he/she can go for multiple blogs.

I am saying this, because starting a new blog means starting a new project. A new project needs huge time and money in initial stages and will pulls you back from updating your previous blog (Due to scarcity of time).

It’s always a good practice to analyze the current scenario, where you stand in the blogosphere? Will you be able to manage the time? THINK About it and Rock the World!!!

Who will help you in this matter?

This matter is really very important and full of dilemma. It would be best, if you would take the suggestions from experienced bloggers. They can provide you with good tips and huge amount of information. At last you have to take decision on your own, think wisely and Bang!

So at last I would like to wish you all the best and Happy Blogging & Happy networking 🙂 Go Ahead

And that’s one more informative stuff…but I heard some tinkling in my mind like u bit confused between ‘fame’ and ‘money’ ?

“In fact it’s true that, you can earn handsome money from single blog, than why to go for more blogs? But money cannot be compared to fame”

u said that and I thought I got some nugget here but then…all of a sudden u took diversion — or confused?– as if u found ur right way and declared the contrary..much proudly…more like Einstein — yeah I’m talkin’ abt E= MC2.

“More Blogs = Different Niches = Different Communities = More Fame = Big Money”

‘whoa..ther…now hez talking abt big money’ this is what I thought right away — may be everyone. does this mean..if u can’t compare..u’ll equal that???

“money cannot be compared to fame” but “More Fame = Big Money” haha very funny..just stick to one idea man..don’t get confused and let others confused…

u designed that relation by the way?

    Hi Rajan Balana & Amit,

Its really awesome guideline. In fact, I follow the same guideline.

I agree with Aswin and like “More Blogs = Different Niches = Different Communities = More Fame = Big Money” sentence.

I also like “Who will help you in this matter?” Paragraph.

Thanks Amit for always great articles..!

If you are a part time blogger and don’t have a good team with you then forget about making and managing multiple blogs.Concentrate your blog and make it more and more popular with good contents, and SEO. Explore all monetizing options. Once you start earning money from the blog and confident enough then think about starting multiple niche blogs.

Micro niche blogging is also a good option, for that you need not to do much more effort. But selection of Micro niche is important.
    Thanks for the article Amit

In my opinion, for newbie bloggers,to write more valuable content or to fill the blog with attractive content is the most important thing.he may have no concept of blogging network.Because content will consume most of his time and energy.especially for part-time bloggers.

What I agree with the author is that only when you have got your audience loyalty and make some real cash and you have enough spare time to run one more blog, you can start one again. And I think it is better you start one by one instead of run several like 5 or 10 in just one time.

Setting up a blog is easy.It is important to fill great content. You do not know how much time and effort it will take to run a successful blog.when you set up more blogs than you can afford, you may give up some.It is a wate of time and energy.
