Block Unwanted Incoming Calls – Indian Cellular Networks

Marketing guys never understand the meaning of Do Not Disturb and keep calling up all the numbers they get through other companies. They literally spam your mobile and landline numbers and you dont have any option rather than getting irritated. Indian Telecom networks are now offering DND services to their subscribers using which they can stay tension free and away from those useless calls. Here are the ways to activate the blocking services :

Stop Unwanted Calls on Vodafone –
You need to send a SMS ACT DND to 111 after which the service would be activated and you cannot expect those marketing calls again, if this form or call 111 and ask customer care executive to activate your DND status.

Block Unwanted Calls in Orange –
Send DND as an SMS to 123, you will get a message from the company stating that the service would be activated within 72 hours after which you wont get any useless calls. Still recieving useless calls send STOP (number of the caller) as an SMS to 123.

Stop Calls on Idea Callular –
Call up 1909 from your IDEA phone and register for DND.
Alternatively, for listing/activating DND please SMS “START DND” to 1909 or for un-listing / de-activating DND send “STOP DND” to 1909.

Even after blocking them you get calls , then its time to contact National Do no Call Registry which needs you to register first and after which they have a provision to disconnect the tele marketers phone number after a 500Rs/1000Rs fine.

For customers who would like to register/de-register their request for NDNC registry may dial 1909 or SMS to 1909 with keywords ‘START DND’ for registration and ‘STOP DND’ for de-registration.
