Tikona is a yet another Broadband service brand provided in India by Tikona Digital Networks which is built using the fourth generation OFDM wireless technology. TDN was founded in 2008 with a vision to be a leading Broadband and IT services company.
There is no special surprises from Tikona on broadband tariff plans. Trikona broadband is available in variety of plans that suits the need of various users according to his requirements. As a new provider they are still struggling phase. The interesting thing about Tikona is they provide you with a “Circuit Breaker” to control your bill amount manually by yourself.
Here we look out for some plans as offered by Trikona.
Limited Speed Plans:
A good thing is they offer a speed of 2 MBPS across all the plans you choose. The following plans are available for 2 MBPS speed and you can choose among them:-
Plan 1: Rs 299 plan with a monthly usage limit of 1000 MB (extra usage will charge you Rs 1/MB)
Plan 2: Rs 449 plan with a monthly usage limit of 1500 MB (extra usage from the free will be charged at Rs 0.80/MB)
Plan 3: Rs 549 plan with a monthly free usage of 2500 MB (extra usage from the free will be charged at Rs 0.80/MB)
Plan 4: Rs 999 plan with a monthly free usage of 5000 MB (extra usage from the free will be charged at Rs 0.80/MB)
Plan 5: Rs 1249 plan with a monthly free usage of 7000 MB (extra usage from the free will be charged at Rs 0.80/MB)
Other Charges:
Installation: The Installation charges for all the plans is Rs 500 which is non refundable.
Security Deposit: There is one time security deposit of Rs 300, Rs 500, 500, 1000 and 1500 has to be paid in the order of Plans that I have mentioned above.
Unlimited Speed Plans:
I love Internet when it is under unlimited plan. Here comes a decision for you to make among the speed that you need. Two plans available:-
Plan 1: Rs 649 per month which gives you a speed of 300 kbps
Plan 2: Rs 899 per month plan which gives you a speed of 600 kbps
Plan 3: Rs 1249 per month plan which gives you a speed of 1000 kbps
Other Charges:
Installation: The Installation charges for all the plans is Rs 500 which is non refundable.
Trikona Wi-Bro broadband plans:
Tikona Wi-Bro is bundled with Anti virus protection to enhance your PC security and by using this there is no need for using a seperate WIFI router thus saving Rs 2500 annually to you. Under the wireless broadband internet technology you have the following plans
With a speed of 256kbps-
Plan 1: 400 MB Plan – Rs 250 per month
Plan 2: 1 GB Plan – Rs 505 per month
Plan 3: 400 MB day + Night Unlimited – Rs 400 per month
Plan 4: Unlimited 256 kbps plan – Rs 999 per month
Plan 5: Unlimited 256 kbps day & 512 kbps Night – Rs 1156 per month
Plan 6: Night unlimited 512 kbps – Rs 512 per month (10 pm – 8 am)
With so many options to choose, Tikona broadband is certainly gonna attract customer towards them yet the price is same like the other major broadband services.
I applied for Tikona few days ago. Their agent came at my home (didn’t seem like a professional kind of person).
He approved my home for wifi based plan and said they would come soon. Its been 2 weeks, they havent come till now. Also, their plans are worth it IF we get the speed mentioned. The actual speed they are giving now is Speed/8 and in future it is going to go down as their TOS mentions it to be around Speed/16
Don’t know whats in store for us
I am using Tikona from few month. I need to add below points
1) It’s have moderate internet speed compare to Tata Internet BroadBand Or BSNL Internet
BroadBand.
2) Customer Care service is cheap.
3) But good option for minimum internet user & wireless users.

Dear Sir/Madam
I, Varinder Kumar , is a customer of your internet services division/Broadband/WIBRO service. My customer no. is 1101480372. I have subscribed for XFUL849 plan after much persuasion by your representative and with an assurance that under this particular plan the services are best as this plan is being sold as corporate plan along with a static IP.
The issues started from the day one itself , when no body came to install the router for five days, than after few days the service broke down. The complaint was attended on 3rd day and at that time only I was told about the installation of some Nano station at my roof. Anyway it worked fine for a week and now again the connectivity is so poor that even your http://www.tikona.in is not being displayed in the browser. I have logged the complaint at least thrice(1-670711017 , thrice it has logged, another one is 1-681482883) but not a single time it has been sorted out though the commitment of unbreakable service was made at the time of sale of this particular plan to me.
This is a complete breach of trust and harassment of a customer.
Further while I call up your customer care number for logging a complaint , they try their best to issue the same complaint number so that the number of complaints can be kept low, a strategy probably to please seniors and boast of good services and avoid law.
I have just completed one painful month suffering from slow connectivity and many a times no connectivity at all. The issues are never sorted out. With this mail of mine I hereby request you to direct your personnal to sort out the issues at the earliest. If it is not possible for your employees/service engineers to stick to commitments made to a customer w.r.t plans sold to them, I request you to kindly discontinue my services immediately and refund my balance amount.
KINDLY TREAT THIS MAIL AS URGENT SO THAT I MAY BE ABLE TO SHIFT TO ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER AS MY WORK IS SUFFERING BECAUSE OF BAD INTERNET SERVICE.

Pls dont buy tikona. It is a fraud broadband service provider. I m using it for last 2 mnths my plan is of 600kbps unlimited , i used only 1.8 gb and my speed is reduced to upto 200kbps.

I m using tikona broadband service from november 2012 and i m facing problem(Slow speed internet and faulty devices).I Have requested customer care executives and senior executives several times but they always give me lame excuses .It has been 2 months n my problem is still not resolved.whenever i call them they just give me fake commitments and sometime disconnect my call.
