Uninor

The new entrant into Indian mobile service provider has finally come up with GPRS services by launching it into 8 circles in India in which Uninor operates namely Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Bihar, UP (west) and UP (East). Uninor GPRS services are right now available for their prepaid subscribers and it is yet to launch for the postpaid subscribers. Lets check Uninor Prepaid GPRS tariff and plans. Uninor GSM Tariff Plans

Tariff & Plans
Looks attractive to me but would like to unlimited plans cropping in. There are two plans available for the subscribers. You get 60 MB with an recharge of Rs 9 and with an easy recharge of Rs 90 you get 3GB of data usage with an validity of 30 days. For both the plans beyond free data usage you will be charges 10 paise for 10Kb browsed or downloaded.

Settings
Subscribers do not need to search and download for GPRS settings nor they need to send any messages. When you insert your SIM card into the mobile phone, Uninor’s Automatic Device setting servers would automatically will detect the device make amd model and then will send you GPRS settings to your phone which you need to accept it in order to install & get started with surfing. Would love to see such services coming with Airtel and other mobile providers. If you still want help regarding the settings and GPRS you can SMS toll free to 58355 by including ALL in the message content.

As an introductory offer exclusively to their subscribers, Uninor is offering free internet browsing as a trial till May 6 to all the prepaid subscribers and content downloaded charges would be as applicable. So plug in your handset and browse freely till May 6,2010.

According to research Uninor emerged as a most promising new operator in India at Telecom Operator Award 2010 organized by tele.net. Uninor averages over 1 millions new subscribers added per month and by the end of February 2010, Uninor had secured over 3.5 millions subscribers in India.
