BSNL 3G Pan India 3G mobile operator and leader at the moment slashes the price of their 3G data plans for postpaid and prepaid starting for November 1, 2010. This means that the war of in 3G is about to begin because Tata Docomo has started advertising their launch of 3G services which maybe in and around Diwali festival and Airtel to follow soon.
BSNL will now provide unlimited wireless broadband both for postpaid and prepaid customer at Rs 700 per month starting from November through their 3G SIM cards. These is available for both prepaid as well as a postpaid customer with a variety of payment options. The advance rental data card unlimited plan payment options available are
- Rs 2000 including service tax of 10.3% and with a validity in case of prepaid is 60 days (2 months).
- Rs 2500 including service tax of 10.3% and with a validity in case of prepaid is 90 days (3 months).
- Rs 4200 including service tax of 10.3% and with a validity in case of prepaid is 180 days (6 months).
All the customers who now goes for 3G registration after November 1 will automatically be entitled for one week unlimited data downloads addition to their existing plans to access unlimited free high speed wireless broadband of up to 7.2 Mbps.
Previously same unlimited 3G tariff used to cost 50% more at Rs 1400 in September and few month ago the same plan was costing 2,499. BSNL also promotes Teracom USB data modem with two data speed at 3.6 Mbps at a price of Rs 2000 &7.2 Mbps at a price of Rs 2500 as a promotional offer.

This step by BSNL to offer unlimited wireless broadband at Rs 700 per month will require Tata Docomo and Airtel to review their price just before the launch. So for new 3G telecom provider they surely need to think out of box to offer their best service.
