Reliance 3G Tariff Plans – Postpaid & Prepaid Tariff Plans

December 13, 2010 by Neal

Reliance 3G Launch Event ImageSeems like we don’t have to wait further more to enjoy the 3G Services from India’s 2nd largest GSM operator as Reliance Communications led by Anil Ambani announces the much awaited launch of Third Generation Services (3G) in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Punjab and also in Chandigarh. Keeping it simple with just data plans and no video calling service, Reliance Communications will be initially launching with the 3G data plans but will launch Video calling Service too after getting some clearances from Government which is expected within this month. Speaking at the expansion of 3G services, company said that it will be expanding the 3G services in all 13 telecom circles by March 2011. Unlike TATA Docomo which launched 3G services in Diwali had come with the tiered pricing structure which varies with speed, Reliance has come out with a simple tariff structure which is independent of Speed. The tariff details for Postpaid and Prepaid customers are:

Particulars (Rs.) For Postpaid For prepaid
Zero Rental 0-50MB @1p/KB

>50MB 1p/10KB

0.50p / MB
Daily Pack 20 25 MB 25 MB
Weekly Pack 98 125 MB 125 MB
Monthly Pack 100 100 MB 100 MB
Monthly Pack 399 500 MB 500 MB
Monthly Pack 649 1 GB 1 GB
Monthly Pack 899 3 GB 3 GB
Monthly Pack 1499 10 GB 10 GB
Monthly Pack 2100 21 GB 21 GB

Also, Reliance has launched special unlimited plans for 3G mobile broadband, for HSDPA 7.2 MB/s you need to pay Rs. 2599 whereas for HSPA 21MB/s speed you need to pay Rs. 4499. Also most importantly Reliance Communications unlike TATA Docomo won’t be distinguishing whether you are using it on a cell phone or on a USB Modem or on any tablet PC. To avail 3G Services, you need not change your sim card with a new one; you can use your existing sim card to avail the benefit of 3G Services. Apart from TATA Docomo, BSNL too launched 3G Services.

Also, along with 3G data services, Reliance has launched Mobile TV service on the lines of its Reliance BIG TV DTH Service as mobile TV will come with Electronic Program Guide (EPG), set reminders for their favorite shows. Also, watching TV will not eat up your data limit as the subscription to mobile TV will be based on individual channel packs.
