Just a month back after the Vodafone’s 3G Tariff leak and after almost a full whole month of FREE Vodafone’s 3G Trial offered to its customers, it’s time that 3G becomes paid thing. After yesterday’s expiry of free 3G Trial from Vodafone, Vodafone has released all new set of 3G Tariffs including the video call charges. With the tariff mentioned below, Vodafone marks the launch of 3G Commercially. After BSNL, MTNL, TATA Docomo, Reliance Mobile and airtel it’s now time that the most awaited Vodafone to launch its 3G Services commercially. Vodafone launched two versions of 3G products which are Mobile Internet and the second one is the Mobile Broadband as shown in the tariff table below. Vodafone came up with the Video calling service too along with two combo plans with which yo not only get the free video call minutes and free high speed 3G data usage but also free local as well as National SMS.
Vodafone has 3G spectrum in 9 circles – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Maharashtra & Goa, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), Haryana, Uttar Pradesh (E) and West Bengal and has launched the 3G Services in all the circles.
The video call tariffs are
- Home Video Calling rates for Local and STD calls are Rs 3/min.
- Roaming originating Video calling @ Rs 4/min
- Roaming terminating Video calling @ Rs 3/min

Would you prefer Vodafone to BSNL? The major advantage that I’m seeing with BSNL is the coverage in almost all areas, planning to change my 3G provider though.
